There are a few reasons why so many affiliate marketers failed. There seems to be a lack of understanding about time management and personal investment. Any successful marketer will tell you it takes a lot of hard work and dedication before seeing any real, steady traffic. The sad thing is that there are numerous affiliate programs that try to encourage people to join their programs to get rich quick!

Affiliate marketing is about personally investment and firm commitment to do whatever it takes to make the affiliates websites work. There are many everyday jobs that are boring and routine, but need to be done. There are no shortcuts to using any marketing methods effectively. Sometimes, marketers are not able to generate traffic to their websites. They try, but no traffic is being generated for them. It means that their marketing method probably does not work. In this case, affiliate marketers need to slow down and take the time to analyze any problems taking place in their campaigns, and then fix them. Good affiliate marketers will be trained from their mistakes and move on instead of giving up.

Affiliate marketer is in need of effective time management to do what needs to be done. Sometimes affiliate marketers weaken energy and lose time doing non-productive things. Urgent / Important

This part is obviously the one that should be done immediately. Anything that falls into this category should be done as soon as possible.

Not Urgent / Important

This is a healthy place to put down jobs that need to be done and you have enough time needed for this job. This category should always have some important things on the go and your goal is to get them done before they will go to the 'Urgent / Important' part.

Urgent / Not Important

This is things that are not that important but if to be done have to be done now. These could include an offer you get from someone saying buy now I’ll give you 50% off your web hosting, something you want to signup for that is expiring soon etc… Things that if they were not done would not be the end of the world but they are time bound.

Not Urgent / Not Important

Sadly, this is where most of us spend most of our time. It is easy to start surfing around the net, checking message boards, stats, checking to see if you made an affiliate commission etc… These are not important things and they do not have to be done to achieve your mission in life. Get your priorities straight.
