Recurring Billing – Now at ClickBank
ClickBank Recurring Billing lets you sell and promote a wide array of products and services, like subscriptions and membership sites, that leverage regularly scheduled customer payments. All ClickBank accounts are automatically enabled for recurring billing products. You can offer up to 500 products total per account. You can offer only standard products, only recurring billing products, or a combination of both for a total of 500 products per account.
In addition to standard product attributes, the terms related to a recurring billing product are distinguished by the following fields:
- Initial Price: The price the customer pays for the initial purchase of a recurring billing product. The initial price is equal to or greater than the rebill price.
- Rebill Price: The price the customer pays for each subsequent payment for the duration of a rebill product. The rebill price must be equal to or less than the initial price.
- Frequency: The timeframe for which rebilling will occur (ex. monthly, quarterly). The initial frequency allowed for recurring billing is monthly.
- Duration: The number of times a customer is billed (ex. 2-99).
ClickBank's return policy for both standard and recurring billing products is as follows:
- ClickBank will, at its option, replace or repair any defective product within 8 weeks from the date of purchase. Multiple payment returns can be provided for recurring billing products as long as they are within the standard 8 week return period. After 8 weeks all sales are final.
- However, keep in mind that once a refund is processed, the subscription is also automatically canceled. The publisher will be notified of all refunds and cancellations by email.
Customers can cancel their subscriptions at any time during the rebill schedule. Canceling a subscription does not generate a refund. ClickBank will send an email to the email address listed in the publisher's account for every cancellation.
ClickBank recurring billing products can be purchased using credit/debit cards only.
Affiliates earn commission for the life of a subscription, which includes the initial payment and all rebills. The commission rate offered at the time of the initial payment remains the same for the rebills. Keep in mind that the initial payment must be equal or greater than the subsequent rebills. Therefore, the amount affiliates earn for the initial payment may be greater than the amount they earn for the each rebill payment. If a recurring billing product or subscription is cancelled, no future commissions will be awarded.
